CFN is a proud sponsor of United Voices: Immigrant Youth Wellness Summit. The first summit of its kind in Canada is presented by HEADSTRONG. Youth from all backgrounds between the ages 12 and 20 are invited to register to take part in a fun day including stories from inspirational immigrant speakers, interactive break-out sessions, great food and more, while learning how to battle the stigma surrounding mental health.
United Voices will be held at the Genesis Centre on Saturday, October 26, can be accessed by car, and is also a short walk away from the Saddletowne LRT Station located along the Blue C-Train Line.
HEADSTRONG is an evidence-based anti-stigma initiative created by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) that inspires youth ages 12-18 to Be Brave, Reach Out and Speak Up about mental health. Now a national initiative, HEADSTRONG teaches students how to reduce stigma and become mental health champions in their schools.
