April is Volunteer Month @ CFN

April 23 to 29 is National Volunteer Week in Canada, but here at CFN we are dedicating the entire month of April to the hard work and passion volunteers give to others here at the centre and across the country.  Thank you Canadian volunteers, for 150 glorious years.

The bottom line volunteer efforts create positive impact in communities across Canada. Here at CFN we have wide variety of areas to get involved with as a volunteer, giving one the chance to work in an professional and positive environment with people from around the world, while gaining valuable life and work experience, and helping build your community in the process.

Join us Wednesday, April 5 – 5:30 – 7:30 pm or Tuesday, April 11, 18 or 25 – 1:30 – 3:30 pm for a Volunteer Information Session for anyone who is interested in volunteering with the Centre for Newcomers or in the Calgary community. Information includes:

  • Brief history of the Centre for Newcomers
  • Volunteerism in Canada
